Target Audience
Our program is designed to meet the needs of kindergarten through first-grade students (ages 5-7) who are experiencing difficulty in reading and writing. Currently, our program services children in the California area.
Parent Commitment
At Cultivating Literacy, we believe parents are a valuable resource and can help their children grow as successful learners. Our 9-week Individualized Literacy Plans are guided by a literacy specialist and implemented by the child’s parent. Parent commitment is a key component of this program.

Program results from our first trial program, Fall 2019
Children who participated in the program averaged 2 reading levels of growth.
Program participants who were English learners showed an average 30% growth in phonics skills.
100% of surveyed families identified the program as very user-friendly and easy to implement.
100% of surveyed families rated the program as a 9 or 10 value score. Citing that they felt supported by their literacy specialist throughout the program. Families identified the program as extremely valuable.
